Proud supporters of the Mental Health Foundation

As part of Sime Darby Motors NZ, Continental Cars is proud to be a major sponsor of the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, supporting their efforts to uplift the mental health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa.

Together we can make a difference

We are fundraising to help the Mental Health Foundation provide free mental health resources which give people information and tools to look after their own wellbeing, and to support friends and whānau through tough times.

Our target is to raise $150,000 by 31 March 2025. Find out more about our fundraising activity.

Continental Cars and workplace wellbeing

We’re committed to providing safe, healthy and inclusive workplaces where each of our 1200-strong Sime Darby Motors NZ team can thrive. Our people are a generous lot and have put their support behind Mental Health Foundation in various ways, like taking part in Pink Shirt Day, or Moving for Mental Health by taking part in a company-wide Move-a-thon. We will continue to celebrate, support, cheerlead and fundraise to improve the wellbeing of all New Zealanders – starting with us.

Mental Health Awareness Week: 23-29 September

Community is… what we create together. That’s the theme for this year’s MHAW. Recent research commissioned by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand shows how recent severe weather events have impacted people’s wellbeing. Over 1,500 New Zealanders from affected regions revealed that community is the key to getting through tough times.

The research shows that strong social connections are essential for our life satisfaction and health. This MHAW is a shout out to all New Zealanders to define, build, and celebrate their communities – wherever they find them.

At Continental Cars, we will be looking at how we connect and support each other – and will be raising funds for Mental Health Foundation as we go.
