Thanks to the performance enhancement from 180 to 195kW, you can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The front differential lock combined with the optional progressive steering ensures even greater comfort on your journeys even at a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
The striking red line, together with dynamic bumpers in honeycomb design, are the unmistakable trade of the GTI. At the back, the roof spoiler and chrome-plated tail pipes catch the eye, while the LED tail light clusters round off the appearance. Attractive GTI lettering is emblazoned on the front doors as standard.
All of the components inside the GTI are carefully coordinated with each other to give the vehicle its distinctively sporty look. This starts with the GTI logos on the front seats and continues with the leather-look armrests and the specific decorative inlays. The multifunctional steering wheel with its red stitching with classic push buttons and the standard high-gloss black centre console round off the overall high-quality impression. A real highlight: the optional 32.7 cm (12.9 inch) infotainment display, which gives you access to entertainment, news, navigation and more.

In the new Golf GTI you sit not only comfortable, but also flexible. The standard seats are upholstered with Scale Paper fabric sports seats. For an added touch of luxury, the GTI Touring Package offers Vienna leather sports seats.
Leather seats with active air conditioning are available on request, providing cooling in summer and warmth in winter.
Choose the driving mode that suits your driving style best thanks to a range of available driving profiles. For example, you can try the new sports mode, which offers you torque reserve when stationary and optimised launch control as an option.
You can gently illuminate the interior of your new Golf GTI with just a tap of the finger and choose from up to 30 colours as an option. Multiple light strips allow you to create a personalised lighting atmosphere.
Enjoy the full view with electric tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof on the Golf GTI Touring Package. Thanks to its enormous glass surface, it bathes all passengers in more light and offers an unrestricted view of the sky. Its electric roller sunshade protects from excessive sunlight. If you want to enjoy some fresh air, the front half of the roof can optionally be raised or moved completely backwards.
Would you prefer just to see the speed and mileage display? Or also other driving data, such as a full view of the navigation map or the title of the track you’re listening to right now? It’s all in your hands: configure your high-resolution 26 cm (10.2 inch) optional Digital Cockpit Pro yourself with ease, so that it’s exactly the way you want it, including highlighting of certain graphics.
The optional Ready 2 Discover radio with six loudspeakers and one centre loudspeaker provides infotainment at an acoustically high level. App-Connect (incl. App-Connect Wireless for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ) also allows you to operate selected apps directly in your Volkswagen. And with the Digital Cockpit Pro you can keep an eye on your vehicle information at all times – configured according to your wishes.
The optional navigation system „Discover“ provides intuitive navigation with traffic sign recognition and FM and digital DAB+ radio reception. In addition, the entire world of connected online services from VW Connect Plus is available to you. App-Connect (incl. And with the Digital Cockpit Pro, you can always keep an eye on your vehicle data – configured according to your wishes.
The new voice assistant allows you to conveniently operate your infotainment system. For example, you can select the radio station or telephone number you’re looking for.
Start the function by saying “Hello” and turn the vehicle into an intelligent conversation partner. The voice assistant also understands free formulations such as “I’m cold.” or “Where are there Japanese restaurants in Auckland?”. In addition, thanks to digital microphones, it recognises whether the driver or the passenger is speaking in order, for example, to provide the air conditioning specifically for the person making the request.
Voice assistant will also appear visually to you on the centre display, with interactions enabled via graphics. The system also asks questions or lets itself be interrupted.
Save yourself the bother of searching for your car key in your trousers, handbag or jacket pocket: once you have the key with you and you are no more than 1.5 metres away from your Golf GTI, the doors and boot lid optionally unlock automatically as if by magic. You also don’t need the key to start the engine. All it takes is the touch of a button. And if the optional Keyless Access isn’t working, then it just means that your key isn’t in your pocket after all. Perhaps it’s on the kitchen table?
With the optional head-up display, part of the windscreen becomes a projection surface that can display your speed, messages from your driver assist systems or navigation instructions. The projection itself is still clearly legible, even when light is shining directly onto the windscreen. So you remain perfectly informed – without needing to take your eyes off the road.
Harman/Kardon sound system is available as standard on the Golf GTI Touring Package. The eight synchronised loudspeakers with total power output of 480 watts ensure the perfect surround sound, also thanks to the digital 12-channel amplifier and the additional centre speaker. The subwoofer delivers precise bass tones. You can therefore celebrate your favourite music in style.
