Emma Mathews – Volkswagen Apprentice Technician
Q: What made to decide to get into a technician’s apprenticeship?
A: I was looking for a good reputable place that would give me an excellent surrounding and education to get qualified. I learned of the position through an acquaintance and had heard a lot about Continental Cars’ reputation. It seemed like it would be a fantastic place to work and learn.
Q: How are you liking being part of the Continental Cars Volkswagen Team?
A: I am really enjoying it. Everyone is extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. I always know I can ask anyone for help.
Q: Any advice for recent school leavers, or anyone else that might be interested?
A: My advice to school leavers would be don’t be intimidated by applying for positions at big, well-known places.
Damian Stephen – Volkswagen Apprentice Technician
Q: What made to decide to get into a technician’s apprenticeship?
A: My passion for cars – just working and fixing them. Volkswagen’s Excellent reputation of reliable, quality cars. As well as Continental Cars’ great experience and service with customers and vehicles.
Q: How are you liking being part of the Continental Cars Volkswagen Team?
A: I am loving it! Working with a great bunch of guys. They teach me a lot about the industry and give me their tips and tricks they have learnt. There’s also plenty of room to grow and further my skills.
Q: Any advice for recent school leavers, or anyone else that might be interested?
A: Do a pre-trade course. Work hard. Get some experience even if it’s a few days a week at a local garage. Enjoy yourself!
